Anandiben Patel led Gujarat Government has appointed D Jagtheesa Pandian (IAS: 1981: GJ) as Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat. Pandian is expected to take over the charge from Varesh Sinha (IAS: 1977: GJ) who is further expected to get a prominent assignment post-retirement.
On the other hand Atanu Chakraborty (IAS: 1985: GJ) will replace Pandian as Principal Secretary, Department of Industries & Mines along with the additional charge of Managing Director, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
