With Uttarakhand gone under President's rule, the relative importance of two seniormost officials have correspondingly increased. Chief Secretary Shatrughna Singh and DGP B S Sidhu were asked in a Sunday meeting with officials by Governor Krishna Kant Paul to assist him in implementation of his responsibilities in accordance with the constitutional arrangement, a Raj Bhawan release issued in Dehradun said.
In addition Prakash Mishra (Ex DG CRPF) and Ravindra Mishra UP IAS too attain importance in the running of the state.
Following the meeting, officials were directed to ensure maintenance of law and order, communal harmony, and security and safety of public property on a priority basis. Directions were also given to officials at the state, division and district levels to ensure smooth delivery of essential public services and running of administration, it said.
