The NaMo administration on Tuesday cleared the appointment of Sumit Deb (Director Personnel, NMDC Limited) as new Chairman & Managing Director, NMDC Limited. Deb will succeed N Baijendra Kumar (IAS:1985:CG); the outgoing CMD retiring on 31 July 2020. The public-sector headhunter had selected him for the top job on 18 February 2020.
