Even few BPRD authorities are as puzzled as their colleagues in other departments.
Indianmandarins has learnt that before she takes charge of her new responsibility, she wants to finish her personal engagements and has been on a US visit. According to some well-placed sources, she may assume her new responsibility on May 25.
She was appointed on 08 April 2016 as DG, BPRD - a post which has been vacant since December 01, 2015 vice N R Vasan. Initially, the additional charge was given to A R K Kinni (IPS:1981:BH), the then ADG of BPRD. The additional charge still continues with Kinni (DG, NCRB). If the above information turns out to be true, the BPR&D will see its new chief in the fourth week of May.
