NEW DELHI (27.05.2026): The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of 68 Indian Police Service officers belonging to 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008 batches on May 26, 2026 for holding the post of Inspector General (IG) or Equivalent at the Centre. The maximum number of officers belong to 2008 batch. The names, batches and cadres of these officers are as follows:
