The NaMo administration on 03.11.2020 effected a major bureaucratic rejig. As many as 25 IAS officers appointed to Additional Secretary level posts in various ministries, departments and organisations as follows:

1. Sanjay Malhotra (lAS:1990:RJ) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power CMD, REC Ltd
2. Vijoy Kumar Singh (lAS:1990:PB) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles. Presently, he is Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Textiles.
3. Atul Kumar Tiwari(lAS:1990:KN) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship by temporarily upgrading a post of Joint Secretary. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, I&B.
4. Kailash Chand Gupta (lAS:1992:MP) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
5. Chandra Sekhar Kumar (lAS:1992:OR) appointed as  Additional Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education.
6. Vineet Joshi (lAS:1992:MN) appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. Presently, he is DG, National Testing Agency (NTCA), Ministry of Education. He will continue to hold the charge of DG, NTCA.
7. Hukum Singh Meena (lAS:1992:BH) appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources.
8. VL Kantha Rao (lAS:1992:MP) appointed as Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production.
9. Sanjay Jaju (lAS:1992:TG) appointed as  Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production vice VL Kantha Rao. Presently, Jaju is Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production.
10. Manohar Agnani (lAS:1993:MP) appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. Presently, he is working as Joint Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
11. Vivek Kumar Dewangen (lAS:1993:MN) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power vice Sanjay Maihotra (IAS:1990:RJ). Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power.
12. Ms. Neerja Sekhar (lAS:1993:HY) appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting vice Atul Kumar Tiwary. Presently, she is Joint Secretary, I&B.
13. Vishvajit Sahay (IDAS:1990), presently in the Cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Science & Technology. He will also hold the charge of FA, Department of Biotechnology and Ministry of Earth Sciences. 

Further, thirteen IAS officers were elevated (in-situ) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, as a measure personal to them, by temporarily upgrading the Joint Secretary rank posts held by them:

2. TK Ramachandran (lAS:1991:TN)- Chairman, V.0. Chidambaranar Port Trust (Tuticorin), Ministry of Shipping.
3. Ms. Sumita Dawra (lAS:1991:AP)- Additional Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade.
4. Pankaj Agrawal (lAS:1992:MP)- Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
5. Rajat Kumar Mishra (lAS:1992:RJ)-  Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs.
6. Ashish Srivastava (lAS:1992:MP)- Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
7. Ashish Kumar Bhutani (lAS:1992:AM)- CEO, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
8. Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava (lAS:1993:UT)- Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs.
9. Amit Agrawal (IAS:1993:CG)- Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
10. Sandeep Pondrik (lAS:1993:BH)- Advisor, National Disaster Management Authority
11. Ms. Sukriti Likhi (lAS:1993:HY)-  Additional Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises
12. Alok (lAS:1993:RJ)- Member (Admn.), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
13. Nagaraju Maddirala (lAS:1993:TR)- Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal.
