The NaMo administration on Monday announced the appointment of Mahesh Kumar Jain (MD & CEO, IDBI) as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India for a period of three years.
Jain replaces S S Mundra who completed his tenure ten months back. Jain has an experience of over 30 years in the banking sector. He has also been a member of the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) committee on risk management, committee on PIL on NPAs for submission to Supreme Court.
