Bringing the stalemate, over claims of authority of transfers & postings of UT cadre bureaucrats serving with Delhi Government, to an end Union Home Ministry made it clear that Delhi LG has the final authority as for the same.
The MHA notification (issued on May 21) has gave the discretion to Lt Governor to decide if the CM should be consulted before making an appointment & transfer of officers.
Kejriwal claimed that LG had been acting at Centre's behest. By terming the LG as as Viceroy and the Centre as London; Kejriwal's message seemed loud and clear that AAP Government and centre will continue to be at loggerheads over the issue. Keep watching.
