Prime Minister Modi's trusted former civil servant K Kailashnathan (Retd IAS:1979:GJ) has been mandated once again to serve as Chief Principal Secretary (CPS) to Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani ening 25 December 2019 on contractual basis. Kailashnathan, popularly known as KK, has been serving at CMO for over a decade.
He was brough to CMO for the first time in 2006 as Principal Secretary to the then CM Narendra Modi. Immediately after his retirement in May 31, 2013 a new post of CPS was created w.e.f June 01, 2013. Those close to the Gujarat establishments say that KK has been eyes and ears of New Delhi on Gujarat affairs.
