Ashok Kumar Kantha, India's Ambassador to China, is on a rare visit to Tibet through the new route to the holy site of Kailash-Manasarovar. Acting swiftly on Modi's mission the external affairs wing of his government has started drawing the outlines for opening of the new route for Indian pilgrims through Sikkim. During a week-long visit, Kantha will also study the scope to improve the bilateral trade through the Nathula Pass.
