The Jammu and Kashmir administration has appointed senior vice president of HDFC Bank Zubair Iqbal as the new managing director of Jammu and Kashmir Bank for a three-year tenure. Jammu and Kashmir Bank has its headquarters in Srinagar. R K Chibber, who holds the position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of J&K Bank, will continue to serve as the Chairman of the bank for the next three years. These appointments are based upon the continuous directions by the RBI to separate the positions of Chairman and Managing Director for better governance.
