New Delhi (06.02.2025): Indianmandarins has reliably learned that six cadre officers belonging to Indo Tibetan Boarder Police (ITBP) are set to be empanelled and promoted to DIG-level posts.
Sources say that over half a dozen posts, earmarked for IPS officers, are vacant which may be manned by ITBP cadre officers through promotion. In the backdrop of ongoing process, it may be underlined that ITBP has seventy-six sanctioned posts at the rank of DIG of which only twenty per cent posts are earmarked for IPS officers and are filled through deputation. Eighty per cent of DIG posts are earmarked for Cadre officers to be filled through promotion.
