The IPS officer submitted his resignation and sought necessary approval from the Police Headquarters and the State government to take up his new assignment. After receiving the required approvals, he will be relieved from Uttarakhand to assume his new assignment.

Singh served in several key districts including Haridwar, Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat and Pithoragarh in his 11-year long service. He has worked in diverse roles aimed at maintaining law and order, improving police response systems and strengthening public safety.
