ICICI Bank has appointed Sandeep Bakshi as the new COO. His tenure will be effective from July 31 and he will occupy this coveted position for a period of three years till July 30, 2021. This appointment assumes significance as ICICI bank’s CEO Chanda Kochchar has proceeded on long leave pending external enquiry in Videocon loan case. Bakshi is looking after all the operations of the bank in her absence. Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Sandeep Bakhshi as the Chief Operating Officer with effect from July 31, 2018. Prior to becoming the COO, Bakhshi was the MD and CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.
