Shimla (25.04.2025): The Himachal Pradesh High Court has asked setting up of the Board of Police Establishment, a fixed term, appointment and promotion for the Director General of Police (DGP). Besides asking to set up the Police Establishment Board, the court also instructed determining the accountability of the police, separating the investigation and law and order functions and ensuring overall accountability towards the law and public. This decision was given during the hearing of Raveena vs Himachal Pradesh case.
