Prayagraj (22.11.2022): The Allahabad High Court has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on former Gorakhpur district magistrate K Vijayendra Pandian (IAS: 2008: UP) for what the court called "malicious" action of invoking Goonda Act against petitioner Kailash Jaiswal and harassing him in respect of his disputed property.The HC quashed the notice issued by the Gorakhpur district administration in 2019, by which Goonda Act was invoked against the petitioner.
