Shashi Arora, the former MD and CEO of Airtel Payment Bank has been appointed as CEO of consumer electrical goods maker Havells for its consumer durable brand Lloyd.
Earlier Arora led firms from the front namely Kotak Mahindra Bank and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. He brings with him a vast experience spanning 27 years all over across FMCG, banking, telecom, media and entertainment.
Arora had resigned amidst a week-old controversy where the Sunil Mittal-owned telco was hauled up by the authorities for opening payments bank accounts without requisite approvals and consent of customers.
