New Delhi (24.03.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Monday approved in-situ upgradation of the following officers to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India as a measure personal to them by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them. The list of officers goes as follows:-
  1. Arti Bhatnagar (IDAS: 1990) Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
  2. Trishaljit Sethi (IPoS: 1990), Director General (Training), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
  3. Sanjay Prasad (IRS IT: 1990), Additional Secretary, Department of. Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
  4. L Satya Srinivas (IRS C&IT: 1991), Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry as Special Secretary. He will continue to hold additional charge of the post of CEO, Government e-Marketplace Special Purpose Vehicle, Ministry of Commerce & Industry till appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
It may be underlined that these four officers, along with Meenakshi Negi (IFoS: 1989: KN), Anand Mohan Bajaj (IA&AS: 1990) and Praveen Vashista (IPS: 1991: BH) were, on January 06, 2025, empanelled to hold Secretary/Equivalent posts at Centre.
