Though the state government has put Rupin Sharma under 'compulsory wait'. Several organisations had launched a signature campaign across the state to retain Rupin Sharma following Nagaland Govt's letter to Govt of India in March, seeking replacement of Sharma as he did not have "requisite experience". While exploring the reasons what exactly prompted the Nagaland Govt to initiate the suspension Indianmandarins learnt that Sharma's moves to consolidate himself proved counter productive and irked the State, the Centre and his peers inviting many adverse reports.
