New Delhi (21.07.2025): If well-placed sources are to be
believed, the Election Commission of India invited Editors of various news
outlets in Delhi last week to tell them about the procedural aspect of Special
Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter’s list. It was not off the record briefing to
write any story about it but to tell that SIR in Bihar is being done as per
Constitutional mandate of the ECI that only Indian
citizens can cast their vote at the hustings. Reportedly the informal
interaction aimed at bringing more clarity about the procedural aspects of SIR
in an informal note.
