After the PESB failed to find a suitable candidate for the post of Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation, on 29 November 2017, power corridors are abuzz that the Govt may appoint a 1983 batch IDAS officer as CWC head. In the meanwhile, it is also heard that an IAS officer may be drafted for the job.
It may be noted that the CWC has four board-level positions, of which two are already vacant including the post of Chairman. Though, S C Mudgerikar (Director M&CP) is the senior most on CWC board with almost seven years of service in hand, J S Kaushal (Director, Personnel) has been holding the additional charge of MD but he too will retire on June 30 this year.
