The NaMo administration on Monday cleared the appointment of Debashish Mukherjee and Murali Ramaswami to the post of executive directors of Canara Bank and Vijaya Bank respectively. Mukherjee is at present the General Manager of United Bank of India and Ramaswami is the GM of Vijaya Bank.
Mukherjee's will continue as ED initially for three years and his tenure may be extended by two years subject to his performance. Similarly, Ramaswami will have tenure till his retirement on December 31.
