New Delhi (09.05.2021): Amid Centre looking to take LIC public this fiscal through a mega IPO and raise about Rupees one lakh crore from the divestment the Banks Board Bureau (BBB) on Friday picked Ipe Mini and B C Patnaik for Managing Director posts in Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). Currently, LIC has four MDs --Vipin Anand, Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Raj Kumar and Siddhartha Mohanty.

Further, BBB had on Friday (07.05.2021) interviewed eight candidates and recommended Inderjeet Singh for the CMD post in United India Insurance Company (UIICL) Ltd and Suchita Gupta for CMD post in National Insurance Co Ltd (NICL).

BBB is an apex body mandated to select and recommend names for the top management posts in Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and state-owned Insurance Companies.
