Sanjay Krishna (IAS:1985:AM) was on Tuesday appointed as Chief Secretary (ACS) to
the Government of Assam. He replaces Alok Kumar (IAS:1984:AM) retiring on
superannuation on December 31, 2019. Those at Centre say Assam Govt would have
recognised his leadership qualities by picking him as CS at a time when the
Assam is going through a tough situation. He may take over the charge on December 31, 2019. Presently,
Kumar Sanjay Krishna is ACS, Home, Political, Revenue and Disaster Management,
Information and Public Relations and Printing & Stationery Departments. He will have ten months long tenure as CS.
