Anurag Goel appointed Chief Electoral Officer of Assam

New Delhi (14.06.2023): Anurag Goel (IAS: 1996: AM) has been appointed as the new Chief Electoral Officer of Assam. The Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of Assam designated Anurag Goel IAS as the Chief Electoral Officer of Assam. Goel while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Assam will not hold any additional charge under the Government of Assam except that he should be designated as Principal Secretary to the Government in charge of Election Department in the State Secretariat.He was earlier posted as the Principal Secretary Bodoland Welfare Department, Government of Assam.
