The selection was finalized during a high-level meeting held on Thursday. Tripathi, a seasoned internal candidate, currently serves as the General Manager and Unit Head of BEL’s Kotdwara facility.

If confirmed by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) after requisite clearances, Tripathi will step into the vacancy created by the retirement of Vikraman N, who vacated the post several months ago. His promotion to the Board of Directors comes at a critical time as the defense major continues to expand its workforce and domestic manufacturing footprint.
