After a brief tenure as Additional CEO of Noida Authority Pramod Kumar Aggarwal took over from Rama Raman (IAS:1987:UP) as regular CEO of the authority. After the Allahabad high court had seized Rama Raman's power Aggarwal was made acting CEO (Noida Authority) on July 01. Rama Raman has been put on hold for some important assignment in Lucknow. In addition, Principal Secretary, Technical Education Monika Sehgal Garg (IAS:1989:UP) has been given the additional charge of the Noida Authority CEO.
Rama Raman was first appointed as Greater Noida Authority CEO in 2010. Further in in 2013 the govt removed Sanjiv Saran from the post of CEO Noida Authority the UP Govt made Raman as CEO of all three authorities including Yamuna Expressway Authority. Throughout these years Rama Raman became famous as the as most powerful and resourceful officer in the state.
Hearing a PIL filed by Jitendra Kumar Goyal, the Allahabad HC took a grim view of Raman's continuance on the top posts for the last six years. The court asked the state government why it could not find any capable officer to replace Rama Raman.
After the Govt removed Raman from the post of chairman of all three authorities it appointed APC Commissioner Pravir Kumar (IAS:1982:UP) as Chairman of Gr NOIDA & YEA CEO on July 04. But Raman was continued as CEO, Noida. After nearly a month Pravir Kumar was removed from all his posts in Noida and Sanjay Agarwal (IAS:1984:UP) made CEO in place of Pravir Kumar.
Power corridors are abuzz whether the UP Govt has settled the matter or wiil it continue with its shaky approach towards the 'cash-rich' Noida, Greater Noida & Yamuna Expressway Authorities.
In fact it is the 'potential' of the resource-rich authorities which compels the govt to search 'suitable officers' for Noida, Greater Noida & Yamuna Expressway Authorities.
