The appointment process for the post of CBSE Chairman reportedly crossed the semi-final round on April 7, 2015 with the Screening Committee meeting having sort-listed some names. Reportedly, as many as 14 candidates (out of 59 applications) have been short-listed for the final round of interview which is expected to take place next week. In this interview a panel of three names to be sent to the ministry for its final approval.
In addition to the 14 short-listed candidates the Screening Committee added 04 more candidates to the panel making it altogether 18 candidates.
