Eight Union secretaries are retiring this month-end whereas five Secretary-level posts are already lying vacant for weeks and months. Secretaries retiring this month end are: In addition, three Secretary equivalent posts will also fall vacant this month end; It may be underlined that as many as seven Secretary and Secretary equivalent posts are lying vacant for a few weeks and months;

Indianmandarins has reliably learned that the NaMo administration is working out a major Secretary-level reshuffle and a long list of fresh appointments and lateral shifts may be announced in a couple of days.
Eight Union secretaries are retiring this month-end whereas five Secretary-level posts are already lying vacant for weeks and months.
Secretaries retiring this month end are:
- Preety Sudan (IAS:1983: AP), Secretary Health and Family Welfare
- Gopal Krishna (IAS:1983:WB), Secretary, Shipping
- Sanjeevanee Kutty (IAS:1983:MH), Secretary, Ex-Serviceman Welfare
- Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, (IAS:1984:OR), Secretary, MSME
- Atanu Chakraborty (IAS:1985:GJ), Secretary, Economic Affairs
- Dr M M Kutty (IAS:1985:UT), Secretary, Petroleum and Natural Gas
- Rabindra Panwar (IAS:1985: BH), Secretary, Women & Child Development
In addition, three Secretary equivalent posts will also fall vacant this month end;
- Braj Raj Sharma (IAS:1984:JK), chairman of Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
- N Sivasailam (IAS:1985:KN), Special Secretary (Logistics), Ministry of Commerce
- Preetam Singh (IAS:1984:RJ). Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Castes M/o Social Justice & Empowerment
It may be underlined that as many as seven Secretary and Secretary equivalent posts are lying vacant for a few weeks and months;
