Nilam Sawhney is the new CS of Andhra Pradesh

Seven months ahead of retirement Nilam Sawhney (IAS:1984:AP) was on Thursday appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh; a post  which fell vacant after the sudden transfer of L V Subramanyam (IAS:1983:AP), a week ago. Neerabh Kumar (IAS:1987:AP), who was holding additional charge of CS. 

The NaMo administration had on Monday repatriated Mrs Sawhney who was working in Govt of India as Union Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.

Sawang is new DGP of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Secretary may continue

Hours after new CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy took oath, AP Chief Secretary L V Subrahmanyam issued orders appointing Goutam Sawang (IPS:1986:AP), presently DG Vigilance & Enforcement, as the State DGP with full additional charge. His predecessor R P Thakur (IPS:1986:AP) was transferred as commissioner, printing, stationery and stores purchase vice T A Tripathi (IPS:1987:AP).


Indianmandarins further learnt that Jagan may continue Subrahmanyam as Chief Secretary

 

Further, Tripathi and A V Venkateshwara Rao DG ACB were ordered to report to the general  administration department for further posting. Kumar Vishwajeet (ADGP) was posted as DG, ACB with full additional charge.

 

It may be underlined that during the elections, the YSRC had lodged complaints with the Election Commission alleging that R P Thakur and A V Venkateshwara had colluded with the TD to harass opponents.
