New Delhi (15.06.2022): Ahead of the retirement of Jaideep Bhatnagar this month speculations have started doing rounds as to who will be the new Principal Director General, Press Information Bureau (PIB). The prospective contenders for the top job include; Satyendra Prakash (IIS:1988), PDG of Bureau of Outreach Communication (BOC); Mayank Agrawal (IIS:1988) who was recently given the additional charge of CEO of Prasar Bharati; Rajesh Malhotra (IIS: 1989) who has recently been promoted to HAG cadre and Dhirendra Ojha (IIS1990). A section of insiders believes that Satyendra Prakash is keen to stay put in BOC whereas Mayank Agrawal may not be moved out of the interim-arrangement at Prasar Bharati thus Rajesh Malhotra would have fair chances of becoming PDG, PIB.
