VRS Pidaparthi replaces Parida as Jt Secretary, Consumer Affairs

Venkata Rama Sastry Pidaparthi (IPS:UP:1989) has been appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs. Presently posted in Uttar Pradesh, Pidaparthi will serve in Govt of India till March 19, 2019. He has been with the National Investigation Agency since March 2012 as IG. In his new stint, he replaces Manoj Kumar Parida (lAS:UT:1986).
Prior to his stint with NIA, Pidaparthi, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur (Industrial Management), worked with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and CBI.
