BHAVINI, a public sector undertaking under the Department of Atomic Energy, plays a pivotal role in advancing India’s fast breeder reactor programme. The company is currently spearheading the 500 MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) project at Kalpakkam, a cornerstone in India’s three-stage nuclear power strategy.

Suresh Babu brings over 37 years of extensive experience in the nuclear energy domain. Prior to this appointment, he served as Director (Human Resources) at Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited.

He will serve as CMD of BHAVINI for a tenure of three years. His appointment comes at a crucial time as India accelerates its nuclear power capacity, particularly through fast breeder technology aimed at long-term energy security.

With deep domain expertise and leadership experience, Suresh Babu is expected to drive BHAVINI’s strategic projects forward and strengthen India’s position in advanced nuclear energy.
