Following the imposition of President Rule in J&K the services of senior IAS officer B V R Subramanium (IAS :1987:CG) has been placed at the disposal of Govt of J&K. Subramanyam, currently Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Govt of Chhattisgarh.
It is widely believed that having handled J&K affairs during his ten years long career with PMO Subramanyam (popularly know as Subbu) has emerged as the right man of PMO to handle increasingly complex J&K affairs.
If some top sources are to be believed initially he shall be designated as OSD (ACS Home) in J&K and later may be drafted into Chief Secretary job. Reportedly, he will take up his J&K assignment on coming Monday.
