Jaipur (13.09.2025): In a move signalling a tight grip on its top civil servants, the Rajasthan government has withdrawn its 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) for the central deputation of Krishna Kant Pathak, a senior 2001-batch IAS officer. The decision, reportedly made in July, has now been formally communicated to the Centre.
Sources indicate that Pathak, who holds additional charge of the Devasthan Department, has gained the confidence of the Chief Minister. His strong performance and the state's reluctance to spare a trusted officer are believed to be the primary reasons behind the decision.
The state has also turned down central deputation requests for two other officers: P. Ramesh (IAS: 2005) and Nakate Shiv Prasad Madan (IAS: 2011).
Meanwhile, Neha Giri (IAS: 2010), whose husband, Inderjeet Singh (IAS: 2010), recently moved to a central posting, is still awaiting her own orders. Her NOC remains valid, and she is expected to receive her posting soon.
Currently, 20 IAS officers from the Rajasthan cadre are on central deputation. The government's recent actions suggest a new approach to managing its bureaucracy, prioritizing state needs over central postings for key personnel.
