New Delhi (17.05.2022): The Supreme Court collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, recommended the elevation of five new Chief Justices to various High Courts.

The judges recommended for appointment to various HCs as Chief Justices are:

1. Justice SS Shinde (presently in Bombay HC) - Rajasthan High Court
2. Justice Vipin Sangh (presently in Delhi HC) - Uttarakhand High Court
3. Justice Ujjal Bhuyan (presently in Telangana HC) - Telangana High Court
4. Justice Amjad A Sayed (presently in Bombay HC) - Himachal Pradesh High Court
5. Justice Rashmin M Chhaya (presently in Gujarat HC) - Gauhati High Court

Further, the SC Collegium recommended the transfer of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma from Telangana to the Delhi High Court.
