The NaMo administration on Sunday announced a major reshuffle in Secretary and Additional Secretary level.

Further, the unending wait of 1986 batch of IAS officers for Secretary level posting ends today with the appointment of Rajni Sekhri Sibal as the first ever Secretary, Department of Fisheries which recently carved from the Department of Animal Husbandary, Dairying & Fisheries. The rejig includes the appointment, and promotion of eleven IAS officers as follows:

• Braj Raj Sharma (IAS:1984:JK) appointed as Secretary, Department of Border Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Presently, he serves as Special Secretary, Border Management.
• Roulkhumlien Buhril (IAS:1984:TN) appointed OSD, Department of Land Resources under the Ministry of Rural Development. He will succeed Anant Kumar Singh (IAS:1984:UP) on 01 April 2019 upon his retirement this month end. Presently, he is Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat.
• The incumbent NHAI Chairman Sanjeev Ranjan (IAS:1985:TR) was appointed OSD, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. He will replace Yudhvir Singh Malik (IAS:1983:HY) retiring this month end.
• Nagendra Nath Sinha (IAS:1987:JH) appointed Chairman, NHAI vice Sanjeev Ranjan consequent upon his appointment as Secretary MoRTH vice Y S Malik retiring on 31 March 2019. Sinha will continue to hold the additional charge of MD, NHIDCL.
• Rabindra Panwar (IAS:1985:BH) appointed OSD, Ministry of Women & Child Development. He will succeed Rakesh Srivastava (IAS:1981:RJ) upon his retirement on 31 March 2019. Presently, Panwar serves as OSD, Special Secretary & Financial Adviser (AS&FA), Ministry of Home Affairs.
• Bhupendra Singh (IAS:1985:UP) replaces Rabindra Panwar as Special Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Home Affairs. Presently, Singh serves as Chairman, National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC), Cabinet Secretariat.
• P Venkata Ramesh Babu (IAS:1985:AP), CMD of REC, was appointed Director General, National Archives of India, Ministry of Culture.
• Yaduvendra Mathur (IAS:1986:RJ) promoted (in-situ) as Special Secretary, NITI Aayog. Presently, he serves as Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog.
• Rajni Sekhri Sibal (IAS:1986:HY) appointed as Secretary, Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. Presently, she serves as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs.
• Rakesh Kumar Vats (IAS:1986:WB) appointed as Secretary General, Medical Council of India. Presently, Vats is Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
• Dharmendra S Gangwar (IAS:1988:BH) replaces Rakesh Kumar Vats as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Presently, Gangwar is AS&FA, Ministry of Culture.
