New MoS for Woman and Child Development Krishna Raj is operating out of an office from far-off Jasola where the National Commission for Woman is based. Insiders say she still hopes to get an office in Shastri Bhawan. But it is short of space. Since the NDA government did not appoint a MoS for the WCD ministry in the beginning, the ministry doesn't have space large enough for Raj and her team. The Urban Development Department has ordered that two rooms on the seventh floor of Shastri Bhawan could be used as her office. However, the WCD ministry already has a joint secretary and a deputy secretary working out of these room.
