The appointment of a new Joint Secretary (Security), Parliament, has become a bone of contention. Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that Sandeep Mittal (IPS:1995:TN) has suddenly emerged as the front-runner for the coveted post amid the fact that the old panel, comprising 04 IPS officers, which was sent by MHA to the Lok Sabha Secretariat is yet to be worked on.
Until early this week, the panel was not returned to the MHA as a fresh name was supposed to be proposed.
