Chandigarh (18.02.2023): Dr Satbir Bedi (Retd IAS: 1986: AGMUT) has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Punjab School Education Board by the Punjab Government. She retired from IAS as Secretary, Central Information Commission (CIC). Prior to that, she worked as Secretary, National Commission for Women; Chairperson, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE); Chairperson, CBSE; Additional Secretary, Union Ministry for Human Resource Development and Chief Election Officer, Govt of Delhi. Dr Bedi held various leadership positions in fields such as overall State Administration, Human Resource Development, Social Welfare Administration, Labour and Employment, Community Development, Agriculture, Training & Research, Election Management, Teacher Training, Education Administration, Health Administration, and Women Empowerment. A master trainer with Ph.D in Psychology, she also trained at the United Nations Development Program and the Dept. of Personnel & Training (Govt. of India), to plan and design training programs and modules for a wide variety of roles and institutions. Dr Bedi is currently a Fellow at the University of Cambridge.
