New Delhi (22.05.2025): There have been instances of delays in finalisation of Cabinet Committee notes by ministries. In view of such delays, the Cabinet Secretariat has laid down revised timelines for the clearance of these notes.

The Cabinet Secretariat memorandum dated May 14 and sent to all Union ministries and departments, it was stated that an analysis of the time-cycle of notes at various stages revealed delays at several stages. The Cabinet Secretariat communication stated that a committee of Secretaries deliberated on the issue of delay at its meeting and decided the revised timeline.
