Bihar: 71 IPS officers transferred across ranks and districts

3365Patna (10.01.2025): In a significant administrative exercise to strengthen governance and law enforcement, the Bihar government effected a major reshuffle of 71 IPS officers across the state. Patna (10.01.2025): In a significant administrative exercise to strengthen governance and law enforcement, the Bihar government effected a major reshuffle of 71 IPS officers across the state. This included IPS officers from Director General (DG) to Superintendent of Police (SP). Some of the names of the officers are as follows
Top-Level IPS Appointments
- Prita Verma has been appointed as Chairperson and Managing Director of the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation.
- Kundan Krishnan has been appointed as Director General of the Special Task Force (STF) and Special Branch.
- Sunil Kumar, ADG Special Branch, has been appointed as appointed Additional Director General (Headquarters).
- R Malar Viji, ADG and Director of the Bihar Police Academy, has been given additional charge as ADG, Bihar Special Armed Police (BSP).
- Dr Amit Kumar Jain has been appointed as ADG, Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.
- Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as Inspector General of BSP.
- Kamal Kishor Singh, ADG (Budget, Appeal and Welfare), received additional charge as ADG Railways.
- Manoj Kumar has been promoted from DIG to Inspector General (Headquarters).
- Anand Kumar has been appointed as DIG (Law and Order), Patna.
- Kumar Ashish has been appointed as DIG of Kosi Range.
- Ranjit Kumar Mishra has been appointed as IG, Cyber Crime and Security Unit.
