The Public Enterprise Selection Board on Friday selected S Balakrishnan (GM, BHEL) for the post of Director (Industrial Systems & Products), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). Subject to requisite clearances Balakrishnan may replace Amitabh Mathur, the outgoing retiring in May 2018.
Altogether seven members had appeared before PESB for the interview namely; Kamalesh Das (GM, BHEL); S Balakrishnan (GM, BHEL); Prem Pal Yadav (GM, BHEL); Anil Kapoor (GM, BHEL); A B Ravichandran (GM, BHEL); Manoj Kumar Varma (GM, BHEL) and Anurag Kumar (GM, ECIL).
