The move comes at a time when the Reserve Bank of India is undertaking the shredding of the Rs 1,000 and the old Rs 500 notes at its different offices.
It may be noted that the government had earlier requisitioned the help of the Army and the IAF during the printing of new currency notes and their airlift and distribution to different parts of the country after demonetization.
