As Indianmandarins had reported first on October 05, 2017 Abhay (IPS:1986:OR) was on Wednesday appointed to the post of Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Currently, he serves as Additional Director General (Training), CRPF.
A panel of three names was placed before ACC namely; Arun Kumar (IPS:1985UP); B K Sharma (IPS:1986:OR) and Abhay (IPS:1986:OR).
It may be recalled that altogether 11 candidates had applied for the post, of which only 06 were shortlisted. Of the 06, only three were finally screened and were recommended for ACC approval.
