Ahead of PM’s oath scheduled tomorrow a massive bureaucratic reshuffle is
speculated next month. When seniority and retirement age of senior serving IAS
officers (serving at Centre) are being calculated in almost every quarters, the
two senior officers Avinash Srivastava
(IAS:1982:UP) would be the single from his batch to remain on the pitch
beyond this year. He would be the last officers in his batch to retire January
next year. Rest of his batchmates will be retiring this year itself. Sanjay Mitra (IAS:WB) is retiring this
month whereas Telecom Secretary Ms Aruna
Sundararajan (IAS:KL) and DIPP Secretary Ramesh Abhishek (IAS:BH) would retire July this year. The outgoing
Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba (IAS:JH) will
be retiring August year though, as assumed, he may remain on turf for a couple
of years as next Union Cabinet Secretary. However it is believed Ms Aruna and
Abhishek may be rewarded some post-retirement assignments. Further, rest of their batchmates (in cadre states) will be
retiring by September this year namely; Deepak
Singhal (IAS:UP), D S Dhesi
(IAS:HY), Pravir Kumar (IAS:UP), Pravesh Sharma (IAS:MP), Amitabh Verma (IAS:BH). Though Sudhi Ranjan Mohanty (IAS:MP), Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh, would be
the last from his batch to retire that is in March 2020, Srivastava, being
posted at centre, will hold grounds till January 2020 who might emerge as a
dark horse for coveted positions in Modi 2.0 administration.
