Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the Appointment Committee of Cabinet is all set to clear the appointment of Member (Tech) on the board of National Highway Authority of India; a post which fell vacant after M P Sharma repatriated to his cadre four months back. NHAI has strength of eight on its board (including chairman). Reportedly, D O Tawade, a Chief Engineer rank officer, posted in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is all set to be appointed as Member (Tech) NHAI. Curently Tawade serves as Coordination-II in the Ministry.
