Rajnath advises officers to improve budgeted expenditure rate

While reviewing the budget expenditure of his ministry, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday advised officers to ensure the utilisation of 50 percent of over Rs 75,000 crore budget by the next-month end. The Ministry has utilised about 30 percent of the budget during the first five months (April to August 2016), out of total budget of Rs 75,355.48 crores for 2016-17, a statement issued by the Ministry said. The majority of the Home Ministry budget is earmarked for paramilitary forces like CRPF and BSF, responsible for internal security and border guarding duties.
