Praveen Vashista (IPS:1991:BH) has been appointed Joint Secretary in Ministry of Mines. In his new stint with Government of India he replaces Naresh Kumar (IAS:1987:UT).
Presently he is posted in Bihar as Inspector General, State Human Rights Commission.
