Following the transfer of Ashwani Lohani to the post of Chairman, Railway Board last week, Rajiv Bansal (IAS:1988:NL), Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Petroleum Ministry, was given the additional charge as CMD of Air India. This is said to have caused a degree of consternation in official circles.
